It was a good week & I had time to paint my Mechanicus.
Converted one dominus as I had 2.
Simple table top ready scheme.
Black undercoat
Gunmetal drybrush.
Warplock bronze on some detail.
Red cloak.
Ivory lines.
Wash with mix of agrax earthshade + burnt umber.
Went over with base colours, except gunmetal.
Glowing stuff made a mix of GW oxide + hexwraith glow + vallejo florescent yellow. Then some shades of blue.
Base done with a mix of red/brown dried paint + some ivory on a Talons crackle medium base. Very simple, quick & effective way to do desert bases.

15mm Critical Mass - Lupus Mechs
Hello again all,
These are the 28mm version of the Critical Mass Games protolene ( wolfmen ) battlesuits.
I'm using them for 15mm.
I think they were only available through a kickstarter campaign, not sure if they were for sale.
Almost everything was fitted with magnets to have max variation.
Black Undercoat with spray can
Rust Brown zenithal overcoat with spray can
W&N Liquid mask applied in patches
Sponge GW Khaki Brown, then GW Bestial brown then finally GW Ivory
Recesses done with W&N Peat brown ink .
Took the photos outside in the sun. It was so sunny that models heated up, literally !!!
Thanks for your comments.

Zenithal airbrush to quickly paint 15/18mm minis
Hello again all,
Yesterday I decided to try zenithal airbrush painting & was impressed with the amount of work you can save.
One of the things that puts me down is painting base coats. So I decided to try this.
1) Rattle can undercoat ( whether black, white grey or brown - I use )
2) Airbrush a darker shade of the final colour. ( You don't need a dual action airbrush for this, I have a single action Humbrol studio 1 airbrush which I bought in 1983 !!! 😉
3) Airbrush a lighter shade aiming at the minis from the top, move the airbrush in a circle around each model, so as to get a 360 deg coverage.
4) Again from the top aiming down spray the final shade.
I use FW , Model colour & Vallejo Air colour. Mixing colours & brands as I see fit.
That's it , just 3 shades but a ton of work was saved. Now I have 4 or 5 alien factions which I can paint by brush when I feel like it.
Do try it out.
Thanks for your comments.
