NovaCorp / NeuKorp Outpost

NovaCorp / NeuKorp ( in my Agineus ( Aah-Ghee-neyoos) setting ) is like any mega corporation & has the money & the means to do just about anything. It is one of the corporations that fall under the NSL.Even the Mega Korp have to bow their heads to organisations larger than them.

This model is of a pre fabricated basic outpost hab as seen by the 100's where NK has interests. All one has to do is fit addons, weapon pods/turrets, comms nodes etc.

The basic model was made from a large toy robot's shield plus loads of card & mdf .
  • Nylon fly screen
  • Antenocities Bunker doors
  • Olive Oil bottle anti drip cap
  • Silicon tube top cut offs ( the plastic tubes we get here have a blunt conical point which has to be cut off before screwing the nozzle)
  • Various Pc cable connector metal bits ( when you remove a flat cable connector you would find metal bits on the inside, which can be pulled out with a thin long nose pliers to make aerials etc. )
And last but not least , may you be inspired.
Z
Coloured wire, soft iron wire, copper lugs & paper sockets. The conical air vent are silicon tube points

Nylon screen cut & fitted into grill

Nylon screen painted with black marker & pressed on pavement to create tile effect.Always keep your eyes open for interesting textures.
These Antenocities 15mm blast doors are beautiful, good design & detail .I was pleasantly surprised that although thin these are absolutely flat & no warpage

Models was base coated with Airbrush & all streaks made with paint brush.Browns, greens & blacks mostly. One of the things one has to take care off when making streaks is the natural way water will flow ( this is easily forgetten when you get carried away whilst painting)

Fueling cables made from thin wire

Olive Oil bottle non drip cap

MicroPanzer mini for scale

Top view with the 4 parts put together

NSL trupp for scale

Another different type of Olive oil cap & pill blister turrets.

Netting was painted then pressed on floor to get patterned tile effect

Dave Graffam Space port tile.Printed several times, stuck to different thickness card, cut up with scissors & glued to create a convincing 3D effect.Sometimes things have to be done in the traditional way ( literally cut & paste) instead of on a PC to get the best output.

Rebel Minis ( rebel) HAMR & GZG NSL just for scale as they are enemies in my setting

Pill blisters filled with milliput , drilled & fitted with Pc connector aerials.Card + fly netting fan.Originally I had built this for Necromunda some years back, I often build things on a whim & then use them months or years later.

Great ground art is by talented Spanish Topo Solitario ,look him up, he has this for free download

  1. Nice set of buildings and a great example of how everyday items can be utalised in a scratch build project!

  2. Nicely done! I like the irregular shape of the rooftops, gets away from the normal regular shapes
