    How do you get that mottled paint effect?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    Hello just saw your post ( I always forget to tick the notify me button).
    Take a spray can, press the nozzle very lightly & it should sputter, hence the effect . You're right not just simple drybrushing. You can also try texture paints in cans.
    Try it out & tell me how it goes.
