18mm 3D Printed Blood Pact / Sons of the Hydra - More Pics Added

Hello again all,
These is the start of my 18mm 3D Printed Blood Pact / Sons of the Hydra .
Yet another project 😎 Still a wip & loads more to do.
Painted in a grimdark scheme.

The Troops are from Varus / Brother Arminius.

The Sorcerer / Magus & the mutants are from Imitation of Life

And the walker is from Nfeyma.

The ogre is from Red Pilgrim.

All are lovely minis which makes using a 3D printer very satisfying ( when it works as desired 😉)

Thanks for your comments.

  2. Thank you Suber.
Oh yes IOF has some lovely minis. I have most of his droids also ( still have to post them ). I was lucky to discover this set during their MMF tribe's month so got them cheap (er).

I used spray can rust brown, then a buff zenithal, then a dark brown wash ( this homemade dark brown wash makes them very grimdark. Much better than black.)
Next GW Carroburg crimson ( I love this shade as it shades beautifully & dries matt) for the heads & armour.
Then blue black for weapons & boots & eye lenses.
Then a medium blue dot & GW Aethermatic blue contrast ( & the lenses pop out , lovely combination ).
Then W&N flesh ( most of my paint are W&N which I had for years , just add distilled water from time to time , mix & as good as new ) & GW Guilliman flesh contrast.

    This should help.
    Will post more

  3. Oh forgot to say , when I use the brown mix, I wipe with my finger so , the base colour is only slightly tinted but the shadows are deep.

  5. Thank you Ragsta.
The minis are quite nice & can be kitbashed ( somewhat ).
I have been using that grimdark painting style since forever ...
